Manzanita is set in a most beautiful place in nature - with mountain, beach, birds, state parks, and wonderful weather. Away from the highway, a “forest by the Sea.”
It is also an artsy place. We have accomplished painters, sculptors, etchers, poets, novelists, actors, archivists, naturalists, photographers, musicians, professionals and retailers. Perhaps you are a nature lover, one who appreciates art ... or ready to make your contribution. Whether you are a “creative” or in an audience, whether rejuvenating yourself or looking forward to doing nothing at all - you will find many wonders in our dear town.
The residents of Manzanita are here because they choose to be. We care about our town, our children and families, the Beach and our parks. Here it is walkable, clean, we recycle and eschew the “waste” of big cities. So you’re welcome to come and enjoy our community, on its own terms.
We have Art Walks, Beach Runs and Cleanups. We have plays, pancake feeds, concerts, reunions, kite festivals, readings and a Christmas Tree bonfire on Twelfth Night.
